Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to strictly follow safety guidelines when using all types of heating appliances. It also advised contacting 911 in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, and Eastern regions, and 998 in the rest of the Kingdom in case of emergencies.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate emphasized the need to supervise children and ensure they do not approach or tamper with heating devices. It also highlighted the need for proper room ventilation, turning off heating appliances before leaving the house or going to sleep, avoiding using them to heat food or drinks, and keeping them away from flammable materials.
