Mecca: The General Directorate of Civil Defense conducted vital awareness lectures for personnel of agencies involved in providing Hajj services, as well as workers stationed in pilgrim accommodation camps across the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the lectures encompassed a variety of fire safety topics, including the correct use of basic firefighting equipment, efficient evacuation procedures, and appropriate responses during emergencies. The sessions also addressed common observations and violations that may pose risks within the camps, offering strategies to prevent and mitigate these issues, thus ensuring a secure environment for pilgrims.

The directorate reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing awareness and preventive efforts at the holy sites through the deployment of field programs and lectures. It also emphasized the importance of adherence to safety and fire protection standards to safeguard the well-being of all individuals involved.
