Madinah: The Chef's Kitchen section in the children's pavilion at the Almadinah Book Fair drew significant engagement from young visitors, who participated in hands-on workshops to prepare simple, healthy recipes using Madinah's renowned dates.

According to Saudi Press Agency, under the guidance of trained facilitators and with careful consideration of age and safety, participants learn to make dipped date balls, dates stuffed with nuts, and light date-based meals using bread. The workshops emphasize nutritious ingredients, age-appropriate preparation steps, and creative presentation techniques.

Beyond cooking, the activity is designed to develop children's sensory and motor skills, promote nutritional awareness, and strengthen their appreciation for local products, highlighting dates as a central component of Madinah's culinary and cultural heritage.
