Chelsea: Chelsea FC won the inaugural edition of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025, held in the United States with the participation of 32 teams, after defeating France's Paris Saint-Germain FC 3-0 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Paris Saint-Germain FC, who had claimed their first UEFA Champions League title along with a domestic treble, were the favorites to win the tournament. However, Chelsea FC defied expectations and secured victory in the first half, with Cole Palmer scoring twice in the 22nd and 30th minutes and assisting the third goal by Brazilian Joao Pedro in the 43rd minute.
