Chairman of Shura Council’s Human Rights Committee Meets with Dutch Human Rights Ambassador

Shura Council member and Chairman of the Council's Human Rights Committee Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna met on Wednesday at the council's headquarters with Dutch Human Rights Ambassador Wim Geerts as part of his official visit to the kingdom. The meeting reviewed the working mechanisms of the Shura Council and its roles, as well as the responsibilities of the Human Rights Committee, which include examining human rights-related issues through annual reports, system project studies, and amendments. The discussion also highlighted the kingdom's efforts and achievements in promoting and protecting human rights. Both sides discussed several topics of mutual interest during the meeting.
