The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Monday warned against dealing with unlicensed institutions claiming to grant loans or access to loans from banks or financial institutions, in which they fall victim to fraud. Such dealings fall under the financial fraud category, which the CBJ has repeatedly warned against, the bank said in a statement. The safe and right way to obtain a financial or banking product or service is through a bank or financial institution that is licensed under the CBJ Law, it said. It called on the public to check the list of banks operating in the Kingdom and financial institutions duly licensed by the CBJ on the official website: www.cbj.gov.jo. Source:Jordan News Agency
