Camel Auction Concludes at Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition in Riyadh


Riyadh: The camel auction at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition concluded yesterday, providing a platform for showcasing and selling elite, purebred Arabian camels in collaboration with Saudi Camel Sports.



According to Saudi Press Agency, over three days, 43 yearlings were displayed, resulting in the sale of 26 camels for a total of SAR1.5 million. The most expensive camel, a female yearling named Dahama, sold for SAR200,000 on the auction’s first day. On the final day, nine camels were sold for SAR345,000, with the highest price reaching SAR85,000.



The auction adhered to regulations that ensured transparency and protected participants’ rights, including a requirement for transaction settlement within one day and approval by the auction committee.



This marks Saudi Camel Sports’ first involvement as a co-sponsoring partner and its third consecutive participation, emphasizing its role in promoting camel racing as an integral part of the Kingdom’s national identity and cultural heritage.
