Buraidah Showcases Culinary Heritage at 2025 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest in Macao

Buraidah: Representing Saudi Arabia's rich culinary heritage, Buraidah-recognized as a UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) city-has joined the 2025 International Cities of Gastronomy Fest in Macao. The event, which began on Friday, is set to continue through July 20, providing a platform for cities around the world to showcase their unique culinary traditions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Buraidah's participation aims to highlight how it integrates cultural heritage and creativity into its development strategies. This involvement reaffirms Buraidah's global standing as a creative city within the UNESCO network.

Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Qassim Region and Head of the Executive Office for Managing the Creative Buraidah City, emphasized the importance of international engagements. He noted their role in reinforcing Saudi Arabia's positive global image and highlighted the tangible outcomes of Saudi Vision 2030. These outcomes include empowering the tourism and hospitality sectors and creating broader opportunities for cultural and commercial exchange.

The Buraidah delegation is focusing on the city's efforts to empower chefs and cultural artists, support productive families, and enhance quality of life. These efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, showcasing the city's commitment to cultural and economic development.
