Buraidah: The accompanying activities of the Buraidah Dates Carnival started Wednesday at King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah, organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, under the supervision of Qassim Region Principality, with the participation of several entities related to palm and date production. The carnival runs for 21 consecutive days from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the carnival features more than 30 programs designed to provide visitors with an integrated tourism and entertainment experience through recreational, cultural, agricultural, and artistic activities. The programs highlight Qassim's heritage and reaffirm its status as the capital of dates and a global platform for marketing palm products.
The event comes within efforts to promote domestic tourism and support the global position of Saudi dates, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to enhance economic and cultural diversity.
