Bourse shows mixed performance at end of Tuesday trading

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes showed mixed performance at the close of Tuesday’s trading session, amid purchasing operations by Arab and local institutions and investment funds, against selling by foreign institutions.

The market capital lost nearly EGP 2 billion, registering EGP 952.7 billion after transactions that totaled EGP 1.2 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index went down by 0.52 percent, closing at 14,485,18 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) went up by 0.44 percent, ending at 2,761.46 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up 0.28 percent, closing at 4,087.14 points
