Riyadh: The General Directorate of Border Guard's Maritime Safety Awareness Exhibition kicked off in Eastern Region: aimed at promoting safe maritime practices and warning against swimming in unauthorized areas to prevent drowning incidents. The exhibition is running through Thursday at the Mall of Dhahran.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate is presenting visitors with key regulations and safety guidelines for beachgoers, penalties for swimming in hazardous or restricted areas, and instructions for safe behavior at sea, while highlighting its efforts in search and rescue operations.
The exhibition also underlines the importance of monitoring weather conditions, exercising caution during climate fluctuations, and ensuring the seaworthiness of marine vessels before setting out. It reminds visitors to contact (911) in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Region, and (994) in all other parts of the Kingdom in case of emergencies.
