Berri: For new electoral law and never ever back to 1960’s

House Speaker, Nabih Berri, confirmed the necessity to work hard and press uniting efforts for the sake of approving a new electoral law and throwing away forever the 1960’s, stressing that “any extension to the parliamentary mandate is totally unacceptable.”

Speaker Berri’s stance came in the context of Wednesday’s parliamentary gathering.

He reassured that communications were still underway in favor of forming a new government, hoping that the formation would be accomplished as soon as possible.

Separately, Berri received Egyptian Ambassador, Nazih Al Naggari, and discussed with him the situation in Lebanon and the region.
