Manama: The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attacks carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia yesterday, using ballistic missiles and drones to target the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif in Saudi Arabia. According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry stated that the attacks represent a continuation of the militia's pattern of targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, leading to injuries among several civilians and causing material damage to residential homes and vehicles. The ministry described the attacks as a violation of international and humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions. Bahrain affirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and expressed unwavering support for all measures the Kingdom has taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as to safeguard its citizens and residents, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. The ministry emphasized that Saudi Arabia's security and stabil ity are crucial to Bahrain's national security and wished the injured a swift recovery. In its statement, the ministry urged the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities by adopting a firm stance against the repeated Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, holding perpetrators accountable, and ensuring the implementation of relevant resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 (2015) and Resolution 2817 (2026).
