Riyadh: Saudi horse archer Bader Al-Tamimi was crowned world champion at the 17th World Horseback Archery Championship 2025 in Mongolia, after topping the overall individual standings among 85 riders from 52 countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, fellow Saudi horse archer Hisham Al-Tamimi won gold in the series event, while Bader Al-Tamimi claimed gold in the Mongolian ball hunting event and silver in the plate event, further strengthening the Saudi team's achievements.
At the team level, Saudi Arabia secured bronze in the mount event through horse archers Hisham Al-Tamimi, Bader Al-Tamimi, Abdulhakim Al-Maadi, and Abdullah Al-Maadi.
The Saudi national team has continued its strong record in the sport, following gold medal victories at the 2023 World Championships in AlUla and the 2024 Asian Championships.
