Assistant Media Minister Engages in Arab Information Ministers Council Session in Kuwait

Kuwait city: On behalf of Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary, Assistant Minister of Media Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth participated in the 22nd ordinary session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers. The session took place in Kuwait, chaired by Kuwait's Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture Omar Al-Omar. Media ministers and heads of media delegations from member states of the executive office were present.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Maghlouth conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Media to the participating ministers through his speech, expressing his hopes for the success of the session and the fulfillment of its objectives. He emphasized the continuous efforts needed to enhance joint Arab media cooperation, particularly in relation to the Palestinian cause. He highlighted the necessity to maintain support for this cause in its political, humanitarian, and legal dimensions and to increase its coverage within Arab media outlets, stressing its importance to the Arab nation.

Dr. Al-Maghlouth acknowledged the progress made in formulating and executing plans and programs within the realm of joint Arab media action. This includes efforts like the Arab media movement plan aimed at supporting the Palestinian cause and combating extremism and terrorism, the Arab media roadmap for sustainable development, the executive plan of the Arab media and information literacy strategy, and the unified media plan addressing environmental issues.
