Riyadh: The final round of the Asian qualifiers for the Arena World Polo Championship will kick off tomorrow at the Nofa Equestrian Resort in Riyadh. Over two days, the national teams of Pakistan and Iran will compete in a two-match final, with the winning team earning qualification for the 2025 World Cup Finals in the United States.
According to Saudi Press Agency, CEO of the Saudi Polo Federation Faisal bin Dowees announced that all preparations have been completed and confirmed the Kingdom's full readiness to host the prestigious event. This marks the first time the Asian Polo Qualifiers Final is being held in Saudi Arabia, continuing the Kingdom's expanding record of hosting major international sporting events.
Dowees emphasized that preparations began well in advance, in coordination with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the Ministry of Sport, aiming to elevate the Kingdom's role in hosting high-profile continental and international polo tournaments. He added that this effort aligns with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He expressed hope that the matches will feature strong technical performances that highlight the growing stature of polo across Asia.
