Jeddah: The National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), affiliated with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, highlighted Saudi Arabia's national system for early talent identification at the Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness (APCG 2026) in Jeddah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during a seminar on Qiyas' journey in identifying and supporting gifted students, the center emphasized that the Kingdom's system relies on standardized scientific tools and international benchmarks. The approach has helped establish specialized educational pathways that enable students to excel in international competitions, demonstrating the impact of strategic investment in human capital.
The seminar also reviewed the development of the Kingdom's gifted student identification system, the role of national assessments and metrics in uncovering abilities, and the integration with enrichment and educational programs. These initiatives aim to nurture talent and transform it into sustainable scientific and creative achievements.
APCG 2026, held at the University of Business and Technology (UBT), runs through February 11. The event underscores Saudi Arabia's growing role as a global hub for talent and innovation and provides a leading platform for shaping the future of gifted education both regionally and internationally.
