Aseer Region Governor Opens Third Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa

Riyadh: Governor of Aseer Region and Chairman of Aseer Development Authority Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz yesterday inaugurated the third Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa Governorate, showcasing the finest types of Saudi coffee. The festival features the participation of farmers from Aseer, Al-Baha, and Jazan regions and runs from April 28 to May 1, reflecting growing interest in the local product and boosting its presence in markets.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival witnessed notable attendance from visitors and enthusiasts. It featured heritage and cultural performances reflecting the region's legacy, along with field tours of farmers' pavilions and coffee product display platforms.

Visitors were introduced to production stages, as well as roasting and processing methods. They also attended live presentations on crop quality and characteristics. The events included interactive platforms, tasting experiences, and a dedicated theater for families and children, contributing to an integrated experience that enhances the festival's tourism appeal.

The festival continues to support agricultural supply chains and enhance the economic value of Saudi coffee, in line with efforts to develop the agricultural sector and increase its contribution to the national economy.
