Buraidah: The Buraidah Dates Carnival has highlighted traditional crafts, aligning with the Kingdom's declaration of 2025 as the Year of Handicrafts. The event featured dedicated sections for wood carving, fine arts, textile production, and wool weaving.
According to Saudi Press Agency, male and female artisans showcased their creativity by using various types of dates and palm tree by-products to craft art and souvenir items, presenting works that reflect the authenticity and richness of Najdi heritage.
The handicrafts on display included traditional Najdi doors, artistic sculptures, wickerwork, sadu textiles, and wool bags, along with souvenirs inspired by palm trees and dates.
The organizers emphasized that this focus reflects ongoing efforts to showcase the region's cultural and social heritage, while also celebrating the creativity of artisans who blend authenticity with innovation through their handicrafts.
