Cairo: The Arab League launched a two-day workshop today in Cairo focused on enhancing coordination among national and regional statistical agencies in the Arab region. The workshop aims to strengthen cooperation in data management to support agricultural statistics, food security, and sustainable development. According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia is represented by a delegation from the General Authority for Statistics, led by Chief Specialist in the Agricultural Statistics Department Awad Al-Harbi. The workshop focuses on streamlining efforts between data-producing agencies within each country, as well as across the region, to address shared challenges and foster the development of unified, accurate, and interconnected statistical data. This initiative represents a vital step toward aligning regional efforts under the Arab League's framework to achieve Arab food security and advance sustainable development goals.
