Jeddah: President of the Arab Parliament Mohamed AlYammahi welcomed the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, describing it as a fundamental step toward ending humanitarian suffering and achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
According to Saudi Press Agency, AlYammahi commended the efforts that contributed to reaching the agreement, particularly the roles played by Egypt, Qatar, and Trkiye, in addition to the U.S. endeavors to end the escalation and enhance stability in the region.
AlYammahi called for full commitment to the terms of the agreement and an end to unilateral Israeli practices, affirming the parliament's continued support for the Palestinian people's rights and the establishment of their independent state.
