The Arab Parliament, the legislative arm of the Arab League, hailed the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to appoint Ambassador to Jordan Naif Bin Bandar Al-Sudairi as non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Palestine and Consul General in Jerusalem. “This landmark decision offers crucial political support to the fair question of Palestine and the Palestinian authority,” President of the Parliament Adel Al-Asoomi said in a press release on Saturday.
“This step is a continuation of trailblazing role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of Palestine in all areas and lobbying international support for Palestine cause at all levels,” he added. Al-Asoomi called on all countries of the world to follow suit and support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is the right to statehood.
Earlier today, Palestinian presidential advisor Dr. Majdy Al-Khaledi welcomed Ambassador Naif to Palestine Embassy in Amman where the latter presented his credentials as non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Palestine and Consul General in Jerusalem.
