Arab Parliament to Convene 7th Arab Council, Parliament Speakers Conference in Cairo

Riyadh: The Arab Parliament will hold its 7th conference of the speakers of Arab councils and parliaments on Saturday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, with broad participation from Arab parliamentary delegations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference will focus on formulating a unified Arab parliamentary position in support of the Palestinian people, rejecting any proposals for their forced displacement. A key outcome of the conference will be the adoption of a unified Arab parliamentary action plan, outlining concrete steps that parliamentarians could take to strengthen the Palestinian cause amid current threats to its existence.

The agenda will also address peaceful coexistence at the Arab, regional, and international levels. A document titled “An Arab Parliamentary Vision to Achieve and Promote Peaceful Coexistence” will be issued, presenting proposals and perspectives from Arab parliamentarians to foster harmony within Arab societies and bolster regional and global stability.
