Arab Parliament Denounces Israel’s Dismissal of Gaza Peace Initiative

Riyadh: President of the Arab Parliament Mohamed Al-Yammahi strongly condemned Israel's rejection of the roadmap to complete the implementation of the Gaza peace plan, as well as the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump and endorsed by the UN Security Council under Resolution 2803. He described the move as a blatant challenge to international will and a deliberate attempt to undermine political and diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Yammahi welcomed the joint statement issued by several Arab and Islamic countries, which held Israel responsible for obstructing peace efforts. He called on the international community, as well as regional and international parliaments, to adopt a firmer stance against Israeli intransigence and exert effective political and legal pressure to compel Israel to abide by the roadmap and end its violations against the Palestinian people.

He also called for the implementation of relevant international resolutions, with the ultimate goal of ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
