Arab Parliament Celebrates Five Years of Global Development Initiative with China

The arab parliament: The Arab Parliament, marking the five-year anniversary of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping, commended the positive outcomes of the initiative. The parliament emphasized that the GDI has become a critical platform for fostering international collaboration and supporting sustainable development efforts. It serves as an effective space for exchanging expertise and coordinating efforts to achieve global development objectives.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Al-Yammahi stated that the GDI's accomplishments over the past five years highlight the initiative's foundational vision. Al-Yammahi noted that the initiative centers development within the international agenda, aids in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and enhances cooperation among nations. This collaboration addresses economic, social, and development challenges worldwide, particularly in developing countries and the Global South.

The Arab Parliament reiterated its complete support for the GDI and various initiatives aimed at transforming Sustainable Development Goals into concrete achievements. It expressed eagerness to maintain collaborative efforts with the People's Republic of China and international partners to strengthen Arab-Chinese cooperation. This cooperation spans economic, development, investment, technological, scientific, and cultural fields, benefiting the shared interests of both regions.
