Cairo: The Arab Parliament awarded the Arab Excellence Medal to Shura Council Vice Speaker and Arab Parliament former Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami during the parliament's third meeting of the first session of the fourth legislative term Wednesday, chaired by Speaker Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi at the League of Arab States in Cairo.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a speech delivered during the opening session, Dr. Al-Sulami expressed his thanks and pride for the full support he received during his presidency of the parliament from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also expressed his appreciation for the important role played by the Arab Parliament in serving the issues and interests of the Arab nation.
