Arab League Secretary-General Engages in Talks with UAE, Oman, and Kuwait Foreign Ministers

Riyadh: Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy held telephone calls with Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber AlAhmad AlSabah in light of the ongoing escalation in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions addressed the renewed Iranian attacks targeting Oman, the attacks on the Emirati oil tankers Mombasa and Al Bahiyah, as well as the attacks targeting Kuwait that resulted in fatalities and injuries.

During the calls, Fahmy expressed his condemnation of the attacks, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817, while stressing the importance of protecting maritime navigation and respecting the rules of international law.

The secretary-general reaffirmed the Arab League's full solidarity with Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, and its support for the measures they are taking to safeguard their security and sovereignty. He also reiterated the league's rejection of any actions that threaten the security and stability of Arab states.
