Arab European Cities Dialogue Opens in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Arab European Cities Dialogue (AECD 2025) was launched in Riyadh today, bringing together over 100 mayors from Arab and European cities, alongside international organizations and development institutions, in an event organized by the Riyadh Municipality.

According to Saudi Press Agency, at the opening ceremony, Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, President of the Arab Urban Development Institute, underscored the deep relationship between Arab and European cities. He emphasized how these centuries-old dialogues continue to influence the construction, administration, and sustainability of urban spaces.

Prince Faisal stressed that although Arab and European cities face both shared and unique challenges, the forum is designed around common themes relevant to both regions, focusing on building more human-centered cities that prioritize quality of life.
