Ambassador Al-Sharif Presents Credentials as Saudi Permanent Representative to OIC

Jeddah: Ambassador Khalid Mohammed Al-Sharif presented his credentials as Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during a meeting with OIC Secretary-General Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed at the General Secretariat's headquarters in Jeddah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the OIC secretary-general welcomed Ambassador Al-Sharif and wished him success in carrying out his new duties. He affirmed the General Secretariat's commitment to providing all necessary facilities to the Permanent Representative to strengthen cooperation and coordination with Saudi Arabia in its capacity as the host country.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Sharif affirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to continuing its steadfast support for the OIC's efforts and various programs. He also affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to working with the organization to achieve common goals and further develop its working mechanisms to address future challenges.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed several issues of mutual interest and ways to further develop cooperation mechanisms between the General Secretariat and Saudi Arabia's Permanent Mission in the coming period.
