AlUla:The AlUla Manara team, part of the Royal Commission for AlUla, is set to kick off 'World Space Week' events tomorrow, running through October 8. The program will feature a series of educational and cultural activities focused on astronomy and space sciences, offering visitors and enthusiasts a variety of astronomical experiences. According to Saudi Press Agency, the events will start with a stargazing evening, followed by an event on Tuesday that explores how ancestors used the stars to track changing seasons. Wednesday and Thursday are dedicated to children's crafts and storytelling activities, complemented by a family stargazing experience. Licensed astronomy and tourism companies, under the team's supervision, will offer excursions and experiences at different locations, including telescope-based observations of planets, stars, and other celestial bodies. AlUla's natural surroundings and clear skies make it an ideal location for stargazing. Several sites have been accredited by DarkSky Internation al, underscoring efforts to preserve the night sky and reduce light pollution, further establishing AlUla as a key astrotourism destination.
