AlUla Dates Festival, in its fourth week, has witnessed a surge in date offerings at auction. Consistent quality and market value have been maintained due to the electronic tracking system used at the auction, which uses QR code to trace and document the origin, date, and characteristics of submitted dates. The festival, a joint initiative of the Royal Commission for AlUla and various public and private entities, has attracted a significant number of traders, shoppers, and visitors from the Kingdom and abroad. The festival, which will continue until November 9, plays a crucial role in supporting local farmers and buyers by boosting date sales annually. It also serves as a platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise, fostering agricultural innovation, and enhancing the competitiveness of AlUla dates in domestic and international markets. As part of this year's festival, an award will be presented to participating farmers. The first, second, and third place winners will receive SAR75,000, SAR50,000, and SAR30,000, respectively.
