AlUla Awarded WCCD ISO 37120 Gold Certification

The Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate has been awarded the WCCD ISO 37120 Gold Certificate from the World Council of City Data (WCCD). This award recognises its use of collected data to enable sustainable development in AlUla and improve the quality of life through the utilisation of smart services.

This achievement was awarded due to its adherence to ISO 37120 international standards and urban and social development specifications. It also marks AlUla, as a part of the WCCD network of cities and more than 100 cities worldwide, all working together to share the most up-to-date information.

The international certification is one of the outcomes of the projects implemented by the WCCD for continuous improvement of the quality of life within the framework of sustainable and responsible development.

The ISO 37120 certification includes 104 key performance indicators across 19 themes to help measure the performance of city services and quality of life based on the highest international standards and methodologies. This data facilitates effective decision-making that contributes to vastly enhancing infrastructure and social development.
