Madinah: CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, Dr. Abdullatif Abdulaziz Al Wasel, described the Almadinah Book Fair 2025 as an extension of the Kingdom’s renewed cultural vision. He emphasized that the event showcases the notable progress in the publishing industry, promotes reading, and develops interactive cultural platforms that align with the aspirations of Saudi society.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al Wasel noted that the fair plays a pivotal role in empowering local publishers and creating new opportunities for printed books by enhancing accessibility. This initiative strengthens Madinah’s reputation as a center of culture and knowledge and aligns with the Kingdom’s growing cultural movement in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to foster knowledge awareness and promote local content.
Dr. Al Wasel highlighted that this year’s fair includes significant initiatives, such as a dedicated area for discounted books, offering visitors affordable access to a variety of titles. Moreover, the fair features enhanced technical infrastructure and organizational services to provide a more interactive and seamless experience for attendees.
He further elaborated that the fair presents a comprehensive cultural program with prominent figures from the literary and cultural scenes. These figures will address a wide range of topics, including literature, thought, and the arts, through events that reflect the depth and diversity of contemporary Saudi culture.
