Riyadh: Algeria strongly condemned and denounced the targeting of Makkah with a hostile drone, describing it as a highly serious act of aggression against Muslim sanctities worldwide, a disgraceful provocation of Muslims' sentiments, and a flagrant violation of the sanctity of the Holy Mosque. According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Algeria affirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in protecting Muslim sanctities and all its territories, renewing its support for all measures Saudi Arabia deems appropriate to ensure its security and stability and safeguard its national sovereignty. Algeria also renewed its call for an immediate halt to these attacks and all forms of escalation and provocation in the region, which only further complicate and heighten tensions and expose the region to dangerous developments with serious consequences.
