Al-hofuf: The Layali Al-Qaisariya festival 2026 during Ramadan is witnessing remarkable attendance, with the squares and corridors of the traditional Al-Qaisariya Souq beautifully adorned with yellow lights and a heritage gate, welcoming visitors and featuring strong participation from children enjoying performances of popular heritage games.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival is a cultural showcase celebrating Al-Ahsa's rich legacy. Its activities include performances, folk arts, community gatherings, and traditional games, along with interactive experiences and entertainment for families and youth, reflecting the region's popular heritage. It also features a comprehensive program with tourism routes inside the souq, theatrical performances simulating traditional commercial life, and artistic and handicraft workshops for children and youth.
Al-Qaisariya Souq is located in Al-Hofuf city, Al-Rifaa neighborhood, in Al-Ahsa Governorate. Covering an area of 7,000 square meters, it boasts 14 entrance gates and more than 422 shops arranged along open corridors to take advantage of sunlight and natural ventilation.
The souq is renowned for its historical significance as one of the region's most prominent heritage tourism destinations. Many visitors enjoy shopping through its squares and corridors, experiencing nostalgia for the past, especially during the holy month, which sees notable economic activity.
Over the years, the souq has been regarded as an economic and commercial hub, offering a wide range of goods through its shops and small stores. Its squares have become a social gathering place for local and Gulf shoppers, hosting a distinguished group of owners and merchants who later engaged in trade and finance, using Al-Qaisariya as their starting point for expansion in local and Gulf markets.
