Al-Namas International Sculpture Symposium 2025 Concludes with New Public Artworks

General

Al-namas: The Al-Namas International Sculpture Symposium 2025 has concluded its third edition in the Aseer Region. The event, organized by Al-Namas Municipality and supervised by Saudi sculptor Mohammed Al-Thagafi, brought together artists from various Arab countries who created nine new sculptures.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the artworks, which feature abstract and symbolic styles, reflect the unique landscape of the Sarawat Mountains and their connection to the clouds. The goal was to transform the region's natural beauty into contemporary sculptures that highlight the mountainous identity of Namas.

The sculptures will be on display at the event site for two months before being moved to public parks and facilities, where they will enrich the city's streets and enhance its visual identity.

The forum featured artists from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Sudan, Tunisia, and Egypt. The sculptures were crafted using local Saudi rocks, further connecting the artworks to the environment and national identity.
