Jeddah: Al-Ittihad advanced to the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League Elite after defeating the UAE’s Al-Wahda 1-0 in their match yesterday at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the match’s only goal came in the second half of extra time, when Fabinho converted a penalty in the 120+10th minute. With this result, Al-Ittihad will face Japan’s Machida Zelvia in the quarterfinals next Friday at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
