Al-Baha: Al-Baha is one of Saudi Arabia's leading agricultural regions, attributed to its unique geographical location, situated about 2,200 meters above sea level, temperate climate, and abundant groundwater and rainfall. Its diverse range of crops not only meets the local market's needs but is also exported to other regions of the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, farms in Al-Baha produce a rich variety of fruits, including grapes, pomegranates, figs, apricots, peaches, mangoes, guavas, almonds, apples, and bananas. They also grow grains such as white corn, wheat, barley, millet, lentil, and sesame, along with aromatic plants like mint and basil.
During Ramadan, iftar and suhoor tables in the region feature these local offerings, highlighting their importance in providing nutritious meals throughout the holy month. These seasonal harvests also contribute to the local economy, with many farmers in the region working to cultivate and sell them in local markets.
