Madinah:Al-Azhar has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attack on an electricity distribution station in Madinah, expressing its absolute disapproval of the incident.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Azhar emphasized that the attack violates the sanctity of Madinah, its residents, and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque, highlighting the city's revered status among Muslims.
The institution stressed that targeting Madinah, a city of immense religious significance where the Prophet Muhammad migrated and established his mosque, provokes the sentiments of Muslims worldwide. Al-Azhar noted the city's honored status, bestowed by Allah Almighty, which calls for its protection and the safeguarding of its security and safety.
Reaffirming its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Al-Azhar rejected any threats to the Kingdom's security or territorial integrity. It offered prayers for the protection of the Two Holy Mosques from harm and for the continued security, stability, and prosperity of the country and its people.
