Al-Ahsa Factory Dates Festival Draws Huge Crowds

Al-Ahsa: The 10th edition of Al-Ahsa Factory Dates Festival, organized by Al-Ahsa Municipality in partnership with Al-Ahsa Principality and Al-Ahsa Development Authority, witnessed a significant turnout of visitors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the festival seeks to showcase Al-Ahsa dates and promote their processed products to boost investment opportunities and economic contributions. It also aims to support farmers, date factories, and date stores by establishing a marketing platform for their products. Furthermore, the festival aims to elevate dates' cultural significance and historical and social ties to agriculture, leveraging Al-Ahsa's abundant strategic resources and potential. Moreover, the festival provides a unique tourist experience that reflects the region's essence, combining shopping, entertainment, and culture in one place.

Visitors engaged in various activities, including more than 70 stores selling dates and date products, an interactive kitchen, food stalls, a heritage zone with traditional games, and a museum. Also featured were folklore performances, folk art displays, an innovation area with paintings and art installations, a children's zone with games, and an art studio where children learned about date production processes.
