AgriServ Issues over 9,000 Agricultural Licenses in Q3 of 2024

The National Company for Agricultural Services (AgriServ) issued 9,683 agricultural licenses during the third quarter of 2024, in all agricultural categories.

According to the company CEO Eng. Omar Al-Suhaibani, licenses issued from July to September covered plant, animal, and fish resources, as well as veterinary facilities and public interest markets.

The fish resource category received the highest number of licenses, at 5,969, followed by plant resources with 2,476 licenses. In other categories, 677 licenses were granted for veterinary facilities, 286 for public interest markets, and 275 for livestock.

In the plant resource category, beekeepers obtained the most permits, 1,486.

Seasonal fishermen were issued 1,227 fishing permits in the fish wealth category.

The veterinary facilities sector was issued 324 licenses for veterinary practice. The largest number of livestock licenses went to broiler chicken production, at 184.

AgriServ is a government entity established by a Cabinet decision. It is tasked with providing agricultural services, as assigned by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.
