AFC Approves Centralized Format for Knockout Stages in Jeddah in April

Jeddah: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced that all remaining knockout matches of club competitions in the West region will be held under a centralized format and decided by single matches, following the earlier postponement.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Round of 16 matches for the West region in the AFC Champions League Elite 2025-2026 will take place on April 13 and 14 at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium. This will precede the AFC Champions League Elite Finals Jeddah 2026, which are scheduled from April 16 to 25.

The AFC added that, to align with the condensed continental calendar, the quarterfinal and semifinal matches of the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026 and the AFC Challenge League 2025-2026 will be played as single matches on April 19 and 22. The host stadiums will be announced later.
