Riyadh: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque continues to implement advanced technical services to ensure a comfortable environment for worshippers and maintain moderate temperatures during the summer months. The presidency stated that the air conditioning systems at the Prophet's Mosque are a key part of its broader efforts to care for worshippers, ensuring a consistent and pleasant climate throughout the mosque. A specialized technical team monitors both temperature levels and system performance around the clock through advanced control rooms, aiming to provide optimal comfort for pilgrims.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the system includes six large chillers with a combined capacity exceeding 20,600 tons, 151 air handling units delivering more than 9,815 tons of refrigeration, and 80 desert coolers operating at over 280,000 cubic feet per minute. Additionally, 327 standalone air conditioning units, with a total capacity of more than 735 tons of refrigeration, are in operation inside the mosque.
These efforts are part of an integrated approach to creating a safe, healthy, and spiritually enriching environment at the Prophet's Mosque, enabling worshippers to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
