Malham: At the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025, a specialized committee employs advanced technology to classify falcons with high precision, ensuring that every entry meets strict category requirements. To protect the integrity of the Melwah competition, any bird found ineligible is disqualified during registration.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Chairman of the competitions committee Bader Al-Muhaimid said the identification process is managed by a team of veteran falconers. These experts bring extensive experience in breeding and an unparalleled ability to distinguish between various falcon species and subspecies.

He stressed that a collective committee vote governs all decisions regarding both specification verification and the exclusion of ineligible birds. This rigorous approach ensures classification integrity and fairness for every participant.

The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 is being held in Malham, north of Riyadh, and will continue until January 10, 2026. It features the Melwah and Mazayen competitions, with broad participation from local and international falconers.
