WAM Aden: The Governor of Aden, Waheed Ali Rasheed, received today a delegation from the Khalifa bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF).
Juma Al Kuwaiti, head of the Foundation aid team, briefed the governor on the progress of work in implementing UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s AED 500 million food aid for Yemeni people.
The Yemeni top official paid gratitude to the UAE leadership for its noble, humanitarian gesture which he affirmed ”reflects deep-rooted ties between the two brotherly countries and their peoples.” Al Kuwaiti underscored the delivery of food assistance were going on satisfactory as planned.
The UAE President had assigned KZHF to purchase relief supplies from the local markets in Yemen in order to energise the Yemeni economy and revive its domestic market.
