Riyadh: The rose farm in Abha is a prominent tourist and agricultural destination in Aseer Region. It uniquely combines the beauty of nature with the art of perfumery, attracting visitors from across the Kingdom and around the world each year.
According to Saudi Press Agency, farm owner Mohammed Al-Othman explained that the farm, spanning 250,000 square meters, is home to approximately 60,000 Taif rose bushes and produces over 40 million roses each season. These roses are harvested to extract essential oils used in perfume production.
He mentioned that the farm relies on modern drip irrigation technology to conserve water resources and maintain high crop quality. Visitors can explore the different stages of rose cultivation and harvesting, and witness firsthand the distillation and extraction of rose oil.
