Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has introduced a variety of facilities and services to ensure the comfort and ease of visitors. These services include modern toilets that are strategically placed throughout key areas of the Grand Mosque. Notably, these facilities are located in the second expansion area and on the roof, with easy access provided through escalators and elevators.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the facilities also feature ablution areas situated in the eastern courtyard and restrooms specifically designated for bus passengers. Additional ablution areas are accessible for visitors at several locations of the Masa'a, the area between the Safa and Marwa hills, including Al-Arqam, Al-Qashashiyah, and Al-Marwah. These ablution facilities extend to the western courtyard and are also available at the Safa and King Abdulaziz Endowment towers. To enhance convenience, visitors can locate the nearest restrooms by scanning QR codes that are placed throughout the mosque.
These services and facilities are intended to aid visitors in performing their rituals with ease.
