90 Projects Open for Feedback through Istitlaa Platform

Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has announced the introduction of 90 projects related to economic and development affairs, inviting public feedback. In collaboration with 21 government bodies, the NCC is seeking input from the public, government entities, and the private sector before these projects receive final approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has put forward a project titled 'Procedural Guide for Iftar Meal Permits during Ramadan Season.' This initiative aims to regulate the issuance of iftar meal permits during Ramadan at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, with public feedback being accepted until September 2, 2025.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has presented a project titled 'Amendment to Housing Support Eligibility Regulations.' This project is designed to align housing solutions with the needs of Saudi families by expanding support to new demographics. Public feedback on this initiative is open until September 4, 2025.

The Ministry of Commerce is seeking input on a new regulatory framework titled 'Implementing Regulations of Precious Metals and Gemstones Law.' This project aims to outline regulatory provisions for the trade of precious metals and gemstones, ensuring monitoring controls align with best practices. The consultation period is open until September 4, 2025.

The Ministry of Tourism has proposed amendments to the Tourism Law, aiming to align its provisions with regulatory developments to enhance tourism services. Public feedback is invited until September 20, 2025.

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority is also seeking feedback on proposed amendments to the 'Regulations for the Production and Management of Digital Content,' targeting articles 10, 13, and 17. This project aims to engage the private sector and stakeholders, with feedback open until September 20, 2025.

The Istitlaa platform's introduction of draft regulations and by-laws underscores a commitment to transparency within the legislative environment. It encourages a culture of public participation, allowing citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to offer insights on proposed regulations impacting the business environment.
