7.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes China’s Sichuan Province

Riyadh: A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck Changning County, Yibin City, southwest China's Sichuan Province: The China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) reported that the earthquake's epicenter was located at 33.28 degrees north latitude and 98.104 degrees east longitude, at a depth of five kilometers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the earthquake occurred in the early hours, causing tremors that were felt in nearby regions. The local authorities have been mobilized to assess the situation, and emergency response teams have been dispatched to the affected areas. There are reports of buildings being damaged, and efforts are underway to ensure the safety of residents and provide necessary aid.
