Riyadh: The 6th International Conference and Exhibition on Sport Sciences and Physical Activity, organized by King Saud University's College of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity, kicked off today under the patronage of Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference, themed 'Hosting Sporting Events,' is the first of its kind in the region and the Arab world. It addresses key issues in sports and highlights major opportunities, as well as preparations undertaken by countries hosting large-scale international sporting events.
Acting President of King Saud University Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Masmali emphasized that the conference and its accompanying exhibition are part of the university's ongoing efforts to support Saudi Vision 2030, in line with the directives of the wise leadership. He noted that the Kingdom's successful bids to host the FIFA World Cup 2034 and the AFC Asian Cup 2027, among other major global events, reflect the country's rising prominence on the international sports stage.
The conference features a comprehensive sports exhibition, bringing together more than 50 leading local and international sports companies specializing in a wide range of products and services related to major sporting events.
